The 6th Annual Brewed in Canada Fishing Derby on Shuswap Lake was an unforgettable day on the water, with a record-breaking 103 boats registered in support of BC Children’s Hospital.
Anglers hit the lake bright and early, with leaderboard photos coming in throughout the day as anglers battled it out to hit the leaderboard. Dale B set the pace early with a submission at 7:05 AM, only to have Kevin V take over the top spot just three minutes later at 7:08 AM. The leaderboard stayed competitive all day long, with Jim B making his way onto the board twice and Corey W also cracking the standings during the competition. Then at 12:54 PM, Mark L made the final big move of the day with a submission that shook up the leaderboard once again. When 4:00 PM rolled around and submissions closed, the winners were officially determined.
From longtime derby supporters to new faces joining us for the first time, the Shuswap derby once again highlighted what Brewed in Canada is all about — bringing people together through fishing, community, and giving back.
A huge thank you goes out to all who helped make this event such a success. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support year after year.
We also want to give a special shoutout to all of the kids who participated in the Kids Division — it’s always amazing to see the next generation out enjoying the sport and making memories on the water.
